Violent Border Services Detention of Barbadian man
Content warning – The violent arrest and detention of a man from Barbados we have been working with in Vancouver, unceded Coast Salish territories. He was violently arrested by six Canadian Border Services Agency officers without stated legal charge or reason. This is the brutality of border enforcement against racialized especially Black migrants and refugees. From Manus Island – where 600 asylum seekers are currently being deprived of food, water, electricity and medicines – to here on Turtle Island we demand an end to all deportations, incarcerations and all border violences. This video is released in conjunction with his family and we will keep you updated after the detention hearing – NOII Van.
